چکیده
Aim: This study aims to characterize the stress, recovery, mood, and motivation together with training load of athletes cervical spinal cord injury (CSCI) during a period resumption wheelchair rugby (WCR) training. Additionally, it compare psychological aspects competitive preseason determine correlations between load, recovery. Methods: We evaluated variables such as mood (Brazilian Mood Scale, BRAMS), stress recovery (Recovery-Stress Questionnaire for Athletes, RESTQ-Sport 76) (Subjective Perception Effort - SPE) eight high-performance CSCIs at three different times (E1 = returning from vacation, E2 half preseason, E3 after 2 months training) monthly interval. also (Sport Motivation Scale) E1 E3. Results: Results indicated few changes in terms mood. However, decreased toward end this period. Furthermore, we found that physical complaints positively correlated depression when resuming In middle period, noted positive conflict/pressure fatigue energy loss. At SPE arbitrary units conflict/pressure. Conclusion: but not motivation, which did change On other hand, preseason. observed times.

Respiratory muscle training in athletes with spinal cord injury.
The effect of respiratory muscle endurance training (RMET) on RM function, dyspnoea and exercise performance was evaluated in SCI athletes. Nine endurance athletes (7 paraplegics T4-L1, 2 post-polio syndromes) were evaluated on three occasions (T1-T3), with a 1-month interval between evaluations. Participants performed between T1 and T2 their standard individual exercise training program (contr...
متن کاملElectrostimulation's enhancement of recovery during a rugby preseason.
UNLABELLED Rugby preseason training involves high-volume strength and conditioning training, necessitating effective management of the recovery-stress state to avoid overtraining and maximize adaptive gains. PURPOSE Compression garments and an electrostimulation device have been proposed to improve recovery by increasing venous blood flow. These devices were assessed using salivary testostero...

متن کاملCooling athletes with a spinal cord injury.
Cooling strategies that help prevent a reduction in exercise capacity whilst exercising in the heat have received considerable research interest over the past 3 decades, especially in the lead up to a relatively hot Olympic and Paralympic Games. Progressing into the next Olympic/Paralympic cycle, the host, Rio de Janeiro, could again present an environmental challenge for competing athletes. De...

Objectives The current causal-comparative study aimed at comparing resiliency and self-efficacy between athletes and non-athletes with disabilities caused by Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). Methods Using simple random sampling method, 32 subjects were enrolled in each group. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resiliency Scale and the Sherer general self-efficacy questionnaire. Results ...
